This is an academic, individual project (meaning i worked alone on it). I was tasked with designing a hand-held electric mixer using existing mechanical and electrical components sourced from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The process to be used to manufacture the hand-held mixer is Injection Moulding, so i had to show my understanding and skills i have learned about the process. Another requirement was that i use the Mass Customization strategy to provide customers with opportunities to customize their hand-held mixer to fit the aesthetics of their kitchen. I was also allowed to choose the brand on which to design for, or draw inspiration from, so i chose 'KitchenAid'.
